Pat Moriarty: Bass, Lead Vox
patbio
Originally from the  Boston area, Pat was a musical  “late bloomer”, picking up the bass at age 19 and teaching himself how to  play.  He started out in small local acts Highway and Moneypenny in the mid 90’s, then discovered his vocal chops in 1997, forming a young band of upstarts, One Short, who gigged all over Massachusetts for a couple of years.  He later played with local acts Dead at 27 and a trio called Phaqaso in 2000.  After a short time away from  music, in 2002, Pat answered an ad he saw at a music store and auditioned for and landed the role of frontman for the band BlackAcre, the first (and only) band where he wasn’t hiding behind a bass guitar.  Pat would migrate to the Twin Cities in 2003, leaving his musical ambitions behind. Only after a one-off reunion gig back in Massachusetts with his old band One Short in 2009 did the urge to be a rocker again manifest itself.  Finding his bass mojo and vocal prowess was better than ever Pat got together with fellow wiffleballer Mike Bliss and decided to form Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.  When he’s not rocking out with the WTF boys, Pat enjoys playing  wiffleball, watching his beloved Patriots and Red Sox, abusing his liver, surfing the interwebs, and doing yard work.
